Well, the Uptown was released on Oaklawn Records,(along with CCCP, Micro Chip League, and Voyou) and as far as I remember, was in the same rotation as (if not more) than all the others in the set (depending on what clubs you went to). And most importantly: the siren at the beginning...that doesn't send a chill up your spine?

And, I'm always trying to keep girls on the dance floor (out of habit), I guess it's just programed in my head to do that with lyrical-energetic pieces like "I'm Losing You"

Apparently I've been talking this whole new wave thing up enough locally. It seems that I've been booked for an 80s party at one club on a thursday in a few weeks + the club I work at normally is doing a RED JACKET flashback party = that was the club in Dallas that made retro cool again in this part of the country.

I'm gonna bring my notebook along as always, and record my sets, so look for that here in a few weeks.

don't dis the uptown...i have it on vinyl, and cory's right. that siren at the beginning got everyone's ass to the floor. it was always on my party mix set, too. speaking of, does anyone have the entire version to share?
