EAC/LAME -V 2 --vbr-new MP3 for max compatibility.

Alice Everyday from CD5 -> http://www.discogs.com/release/135960

Funny, I thought I heard the Single Version of Prety Boys, Pretty Girls a little while ago, but I'm not sure from where. Maybe it was my imagination. Are you sure you don't want the album version with Tubular Bells? There's no other version worth listening to, as far as I am concerned.

The single version of "Pretty Boys and Pretty Girls" appears on the recent I Touch Roses: The Best of Book of Love CD.

It's not necessarily better ... just longer. It's the Tubular Bells lead in that really makes it.

And without further ado ...
Tubular Bells + Pretty Boys and Pretty Girls
<a href="http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=6A7B8098522EDDEA" target=_blank>both tracks as one MP3</a>
<a href="http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=A459BDDA31768C86" target=_blank>separate mp3s</a>

from the Lullaby CD -> http://www.discogs.com/release/135746
usual EAC/LAME V2 quality.

Hmm, I don't have that. It was probably my imagination that I heard it :).

Thanks for the We Three Kings. It has been along time hearing this one. Best Regards
What do you use to rip your music with such excellent sound quality?

I didn't record that We Three Kings, so you can thank the other dude and ask him what he used.

http://www.holdman.com/bookoflove/

But if you mean the other BoL tracks, I use
Exact Audio Copy (cardware)
or
Plextools (which only works with Plextor drives)
-- Both do error detection and re-reads when it comes across an error for Dead on Balls Accurate rips.

And for encoding, I use LAME.EXE (freeware), which is considered the best MP3 encoder around.

Hmm, just listened to We Three Kings. Yeah, it sounds great for a vinyl recording. Must have been EQed with extra high-end.

Was that Tubular Bells & Pretty Girls Mix on a specific cd or cd single or did you do the mix yourself using that Exact Audio Copy? The Regan`s House Medley is different, so I know it`s not that version. Thanks Again for sharing.

Hey Obs, I use windows XP, would EAC work using it? If you could email me or I will check back on this thread if you can give me a little more info. Thanks in advance.

Was that Tubular Bells & Pretty Girls Mix on a specific cd

It's just the first two tracks from the Lullaby CD. I ripped them both as one track so that you can enjoy it without the gap in between tracks that is inherent with MP3s.

Hey Obs, I use windows XP, would EAC work using it?

Sure, you can. Just follow the detailed EAC setup guide:
http://users.pandora.be/satcp/eac-qs-en.htm
The link to LAME is outdated though, so you have to get LAME 3.97b2 from http://www.rarewares.org/dancer/dancer.php?f=35
