Request: The Sights - So Much For Everlasting Love

My sincere apologies for continuing my personal tradition of requesting songs that have already been posted...

At any rate, I have made quite an effort to track this one down and have absolutely nothing to show for it. Believe me, I didn't want to ask for it here. However, continuing to search for it elsewhere seems an exercise in futility.

If anyone were to post this mp3, I would be very pleased.

Are the other 3 songs on that EP better than that? Because that isn't a tenth as good as "Virginia."

Don't know if it's still available, but this site has a copy for sale for $10...

http://musicdisc.hypermart.net/12inchsingles4.html

Out of my price range -- not that I've never run across one of these locally. And I've run across quite a few of "Virginia" 12-inches...

Whatever became of these guys, anyway? Jerry Weber is the only one where I can find other credits. And none of them recent, that's for sure.

Well, speak of the devil, I now have a slightly-challenged copy of "So Much for Everlasting Love" to call my own. Will try to post rips of the other tracks soon, since I guess the MFV team aren't going to. At the least, I'll post "Wax Museum," which is the best thing on it. ("Lead Me Down" and "Dirty Bop" are throwaways.) It ain't "Virginia," but I will say this EP has some of the best album design of any self-release I've ever seen. Like a cross between "Gary Myrick and the Figures" and Innocence in Danger's "Violate the Video."

Maybe I just prefer the magic overproduced touch of Ed Stasium.

they have an LP with 7 or 8 tracks. This was released before the "Virginia" single. Anyhow I just posted something fun this morning, enjoy.

meepzork, do you have release info on the self-titled EP? Year, label, track list, cat #, etc? I want to pick that up, but can't find it for sale anywhere. Thanks.

Along with the "So Much for Everlasting Love" EP and "Virginia" 12," I do have one other thing of theirs. The track "Twice as Hard," from the soundtrack to "Echo Park." I thought that was it. Guess not.

Stephen Richardson and Chrys Shaw apparently made an appearance as a band in a 1990 film, "Flying Blind." Haven't seen that.
