New Wave Outpost Forum

Perhaps more college rock than New Wave, but does anyone have the Sidewinders tune "We Don't Do That Anymore"? I think it came out in the late '80s, but I always thought it could have been a hit a decade earlier, alongside stuff like the Monroes and Bram Tchaikovsky.

It would be a shame to go after just that one track by The Sidewinders. All their releases are on CD, and fairly cheap in used bins, at least at Cheapos, and all are excellent. At some point, these will vanish, so I would recommend getting them. To like one song by them, well then you'd probably like all their material.

Great advice, they are one of the many underappreciated Arizona bands!!

Very true. They changed their name to The Sand Rubies and released a self-titled album in '93 which is also excellent.

I've checked time and again all of the used shops in my area, but to no avail. But I'll keep my eyes open.

Got those Sand Rubies CD's also Motors, and I agree, they are excellent. Actually got all those at Cheapos also.

SubMassCon, you might want to check Half.com, they might have those discs fairly cheap. And consider Sand Rubies also, you won't be disappointed.
