Two requests:

I've been trying to locate TB Frank's cover of the song Sugar Sugar.

I remember it played in some of the clubs I frequented in the late 80's and always thought it was Sisters of Mercy.


The second is for a band called Chakk.

I'm a big fan of a modern band called Heights of Abraham, and have learned that two of the three members were in a late 80's band called Chakk (along with a guy who later went on to form Moloko and another who went on to the Long Pigs). They were compared to A Certain Ratio and 23 Skidoo. The only LP was called 10 Days in an Elevator

I'd love to hear any of their stuff.

Wow this is really cool. Really really different from their new stuff (heights). If it's not much trouble, I'd love to get the rest of the Twelve Days on an Elevator mp3s.

It kind of also reminds me of some Luc Van Acker stuff that I really like. Thanks again.

I'm happy to share--are you on Soulseek or the Hub? I have a few singles I can probably dig out as well...

I liked the first Moloko CD--haven't heard Heights of Abraham. What do they sound like?

I signed up for the Hub when it first popped up here, but never got a chance to give it a try.

I've just d/l'd SoulSeek and am giving it a look.

Heights of Abraham are mello and groovy (nothing like TB Frank or Chakk appearntly). It's a side project of a band called Fila Brazillia.

Once I figure out this SS thing, I'll gladly send some your way.
