The Allisons - A Second Coming

Here is one that may be somewhat obscure/regional. I believe this group was from the Houston area, at least that is where I found their CD around 1988-89. As far as I know, it is the only release they had, a full CD of excellent jangly guitar pop.

that twenty mondays cd has such dear meaning to me. i have two copies of it. one unopened. i wish i could find some stuff of when they were the shaft. it was less produced and more raw. many of the same songs, just stripped down. i miss them. tons.

as i understand it, there is an entire completed cd's worth of material sitting in a vault somewhere that will never see the light of day. i heard most of it live towards the end of their run and it was brilliant. i also wish i could get my hands on some of that.

So were they another regional act?? I never really came across their CD in used bins on my various treks around the US. Maybe rarely I did, but rare at best.
