Recently heard a tune from Mummy Calls called "Let's Go" would love to hear a few other songs from them. Anything else worth hearing off of Mummy Calls self titled?

I remember getting the self-titled album on import as it wasn't released in their native Britain after the singles "Beauty Has Her Way" and "Let's Go" didn't break them. The former is a great lost single for me, featured on the "Lost Boys" soundtrack too, of course.

Was the album ever released on cd? I don't think it was to my knowledge. I thought it had some fine tracks, maybe the production was a little over the top, but I had heard many of the tracks in session form before the release and was used to them sounding different.

I got the album purely on the strength of "Let's Go". To be kind it, it's the perfect cure for insomnia.

Very cool to see mention of Mummy Calls. I really love their self-titled CD (which I assume was their only album). I really know nothing about them. I fell in love with the "Beauty Has Her Way" track from the Lost Boys soundtrack, and found their cassette in a used bin ages ago. I burned it onto CD and still listen to it quite a bit. A shame it didn't catch on... I don't believe it was ever released on CD.

If it weren't for "The Lost Boys," I'm not sure anyone would have ever heard anything of theirs.

And, yeah, "Beauty Has Her Way" is the obvious standout on their album -- along with being one of the biggest highlights of "The Lost Boys" soundtrack.

The Mummy Calls eponymous album is definitely a quality offering. I have played nearly every track from it on my radio station. I love it!

Actually THE LOST BOYS OST placed the band on the map of the music world[:D]. Definitely one of the great song in the soundtrack together with INXS,LOU GRAMM, and ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN.[:D]

thanks for the posts! i always loved "beauty", but have never heard ane other songs. "mary, i swear" is great....how r their others? could ne1 post more?

Never heard "Mary I Swear," either, until now. Thanks for posting that. I only own the album. No singles.

I was just watching "Lost Boys" on Starz a few hours ago... question: who is the band in the beginning of the movie: lead singer is shirtless, playing a saxophone, and looking like the wrestler "The Roc?" The credits ran by too fast at the end. [:)]

Dude named Tim Cappello. Wicked saxophonist. Never released anything, as far as I know, although he was Tina Turner's saxophonist for some time.

I'm sure I'll hear cries of blasphemy, but I actually prefer the cover of "I Still Believe" over The Call's original.

Thanks for the info! [:D] I've only heard The Call's "I Still Believe." So I cannot compare the two. [:(]
