Portishead-- Glory Box (a unique version where Beth Gibbons sings with a man)--in this case it may be on CD--and if it is, where can it be found?

R.E.M.-- "Where's Captain Kirk?"

and finally . . . Lene Lovich and Nina Hagen-- "Don't Kill the Animals"

I found who's sung "My Private Tokyo"--it's by Vicious Pink. Anyone out there have it?

Stranglers "Golden Brown" never had an true extended mix except for the awful compilation "Stranglers: Clubbed To Death" -- 2002 "techno" remixes (available on CD).
Portishead "Glory Box" is on the CD "Dummy."
"Where's Captain Kirk" is by Spizz Energi, on the CD "Where's Captain Kirk: The Very Best Of Spizz."
"Don't Kill The Animals ('91 Mix) is on the CD "Tame Yourself" (I don't believe the original version is on CD).

Thanks, Rewind. Just to clarify on four of the tracks:

I've been looking for this extended version on "Golden Brown" my friend insists exists. I don't recall him saying it was techno, let alone he said he hadn't heard it since around 1988--which probably predates that particular version.

The version of "Glory Box" he's looking for is not on Dummy, or the live CD, and he claims not on any single CD (and he's looked for it). Beth Gibbons is singing this version with a man as a duet (pretty much throughout).

R.E.M. once did a cover of "Where's Captain Kirk?" and made very limited copies of which they distributed to their fans. It was only on vinyl. I have heard it and found it rather unique, and the friend that had it is practically unreachable now, if I wanted to pester him.

Finally, I'm surprised and shocked that there's still material by Lene and Nina that are digitally deprived, especially the original version of "Don't Kill the Animals". This is a travisty that should soon be corrected.
