Any insights on these guys? Late 70's early 80's. Was considered a pop / art Dutch group. Who do the sound like....

I was corresponding with them for awhile but then their mailbox got full and I hadn't heard from them since.

Thanks....but I've been there. I just want to know if anyone has ever heard anything by them...what do they sound like. They kinda pop up as a new wave band but I'm not so sure.

I've always thought they are from Spain. They had one bigger hit in 1986/87 in Germany and I also think the same song was popular in other countries as well: Hijo de la luna. The title was covered in the 1990s by Loona and the two versions are nearly identical. I wouldn't count it under New Wave, but it might well be that the rest of their output or early songs are...

It seems there were two bands under the same name, one from the Netherlands and another from Spain which had a completely different sound.
The band you're talking about is the Spanish one, and their first albums (in the early 80's) sounded like new wave quite a lot and had many cool songs. In the mid 80's they became more "pop-ish" and made songs like "Hijo de la luna" you mention with versions (at least) in Italian and French. They had lots of hits in Spain and South America as well as in several European Countries.

The one I'm talking about is from the Netherlands. I had my doubts about the new wave connection but the description I heard made it a possibility.

I own a double album of them,the 1/2" Universe and a record of Flue,with which they have some kind of connection.. I would definitely classify their sound as New Wave. I'd say they have this monotonus, some times cold-waveish atmosphere, typical of those years. Always talking about the Dutch.

Now that's what I wanted to hear.....I guess I'll order something by them.
