Wow. [:0] This was a request by me and it blows me away that Coop would take the time to convert this. It is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

This band was a lot of fun to see live in the summer of '83, living it up in a beach town during college. It doesn't hurt to have a crush on the lead singer either. [:D] Alana Shor still plays in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area but I believe in a more straight-ahead rock band. No more New Wave.

That said, the first track, "Loverboy," I can't get any sound from when played back. The other three sound fantastic. It's a 10mb file but no sound. Does anyone know what might cause that?

Thanks again Coop41.

As Coop mentions in his blog, their previous incarnation was Paper Cup. They sang Baltimore's version of the jingle you probably know:

"Makes no difference where I go,
You're the best home town I know.
Hello [location], hello [location]
Channel [X] loves you."

And so when I moved away from Maryland, and heard the jingle elsewhere, I at first I thought hooray for Paper Cup for making it big, if only in jingles. But no, it turned out someone else was singing it in Memphis. [:(]
