Aren't these the guys who recorded in their bedroom? I think I read about them on Torchomatic's site.

Yeah, that's them. Bedroom Pop. I was lucky enough to get the CD from 87 which was released in Japan only. [^] Torn open's my favorite.

@chimera: I never knew there was more of it. Can you give us more info about this session? How many tracks? Is there a first album we never heard of? And would you mind sharing more of it? [:p][?]

Hi, thanks for your replies. Sophie and Peter recorded two sessions for John Peel. The two tracks posted were part of the excellent first session, 'One Face' and 'Television Satellite' being the other tracks. They recorded a second three song session a few months later, then put out a couple of self-released singles and their only album 'Sophie and Peter Johnston' with a few more singles.

The good news is that thanks to a great website at www.sophieandpeterjohnston.com you can find out all you need to know and even buy an excellent three cd set anthology, which contains all you need to hear. If you like the two songs in the links it comes highly recommended.
