"Alien" Soundtrack & "The Shining" Sountrack

So I searched and searched and searched for both of these wonderful soundtracks... and not only can I not find them as (non-bootleg) CDs... but I can't even find LP versions. It's shameful that these are out of print in my opinion. I know the "Alien" soundtrack was released on limited edition CD once in 1988... but it quickly went out of print. I've exhausted my search. I figured that maybe some generous fellow user may be willing to help me out by sending me MP3s to gotgoth19854@yahoo.com .

Anyways, does anyone on this forum have:
Jerry Goldsmith's musical score for Ridley Scott's "Alien" (1979)
and
"The Shining" (1980) score to Stanley Kubrick's film?

I don't have them (sorry) but for my money these are two of the greatest New Wave albums ever produced!!

Props to you Playdead for having such good taste!!

The Alien soundtrack is simply amazing. I would only suggest trying gemm.com

Its really great stuff. I dont know if it would classify as new wave according to the purists on the board, but I think its NIIICE reguardless of what it is.

Also try the Jerry Goldsmith score to Outland...its kind of eerie but not as synthetic in spots as Alien.

I have the original soundtrack and a Spanish bootleg (which I personally prefer). It's a little bit hissy but has at least the complete score.

I have seen that site before. "The Shining Soundtrack" is a bootleg CDR and it's $24... which is a completely INSANE price for a cheap CDR. Does anyone out there have MP3s of "The Shining?"

I never recieved an email.
If there is some kind of problem, I'd rather work it out through an off-the-boards exchange.

Anyway- I appreciate you taking the time to read and reply to my email, even though I never recieved it.
