looking for 2 songs

I am a KCRW 89.9 listener only radio station I listen to and I was once listening late at night and a I heard the last part of the song "more than this" but not Bryan Ferry maybe it was the lyrics, who knows.. I thought the name of the group was Disc or disc 2 or II or they meant disc 2??? quite confused definitely a new wave 80's tune. I was also once watching VH1 classics or where are they now you know 80' music and they showed a video and I could've sworn I read "sylvester the cat" or sylvestre maybe?? name of the song or band I don't know.. any ideas? or a website where I can look for aobscure and forgotten music. I know I sound like an idiot trying to describe them but that's all I remember.. thanks

Regarding "more than this", there's quite a few people who've covered the Roxy version. Robin Hitchcock does a kinda folky version that's not immediately recognizeable. Nora Jones did a popular adult contempo version that got some recent radio play. An unrelated More Than This was done by The Cure and appears on the X-Files Soundtrack and their b-sides box Join the Dots. It's got a great, sexy slow groove to it and says "more than this..." right at the end.

The non-Natalie Merchant 10,000 Maniacs also covered this--I remember this version getting some alt-radio play in the mid 90s

"More Than This" is also a Peter Gabriel song on "Up". Not an 80's tune though.

Scruffy The Cat had a song called Moons Of Jupiter that WLIR/WDRE played.
