Hey, I'm also interested in hearing that album--and his third!!! I have his first album on disc and I still pull it out and listen to it ever now and then..."In a foreigh country..." It's sound takes me right back to 8th grade. If you ask me, the entire 80's era of Motown has been sadly neglected by the techno age. Granted it wasn't the best the label had to offer in its history of issuing classic records, but it definitely has an audience and was certainly new wave influenced. Even more obscure is Charlene's (I've Never Been To Me)third Motown LP, which has very strong new wave/R&B leanings. Awesome stuff! I'm a freak for anything Motown, anyway. For me, the perfect band would be the baby of The Funk Brothers and The Ramones...or The Clash.

He has a 3rd album??!! I didnt know that. what is it called?
80's era of Motown is just amazing! Every song is a classic, every song is damn funky. nobody does this kind of music anymore these days, which is sad

Yea, he had The Genie in '86, also on Motown. After that I'm sure there was nothing. I know of a "Somebody's Watching Me" remix that surfaced a few years ago, but no new material. Anyone have any idea what this guy is up to these days? He's the son of Berry Gordy, so I'm curious if he's in the music biz.

Hey Robert...That would be the best! I've never heard Captured in its entirety, but am anxious to. I went to your site and downloaded a file of Robin Gibb, but I need a password to open it...Can you tell me what that is? Dana.

Thanks RObert for posting this album! You're very generous. I've only heard a few songs from Captured over the years, but it was great to finally hear the whole thing. I have to say that Somebody's Watching me is definitely a better album. While Captured isn't bad at all, it's way over-produced. The first LP has a less manipulated sound and Captured sounds like he was trying a little too hard to make a "hit" record. I guess the expectation of a sophmore record got in the way. I think that Captured really would have benefitted from the same organic sound that made Somebody's Watching Me so accessible and so likeable. The same appeal is there in Captured's songs, but it's really burried under way to many mechanics.
Hey, along the same musical and nostalgic lines of this record: Kim Field's "Dear Michael". Does anyone have this to share? Yes, it was Tootie from Facts Of Life who made this records in response to the Michael Jackson craze in the early-mid 80s. It has an awesome beatbox behind it and I'd love to have it on MP3 if anyone has it. There was an answer record put out by a guy right after hers was released and I do have that, so if anyone wants to trade...

Hi Robert, yes thanks again. a better-sound Captured will be much appreciated. I love the album very much
Hi Dana, Somebodys Watching Me is a slightly better album i think, now that i heard Captured. i totally agree with u on the production & organic aspect of Somebody which is better.
Captured has some really great songs like Peeping Tom, Cobra, Captured, Tokyo, Dont let it make u cry, TV. oops isnt that almost the whole album? LOL, yeah a great album.
What single came out of Genie? i wonder. I cant remember hearing this album. is it good?
