Anyone have any idea what ever happened to Jon Jon, the singer who replaced Jimmy Sommerville when he left Bronski Beat? I thought the album Jon put out with Bronski was excellent and really wanted to hear more from him. His voice was nothing at all like Sommerville's, but the music he made with Bronski was good enough to stand on its own. Bronski Beat released Rainbow Nation with a singer who sounded just like Sommerville after Jon left, but possessed none of the soul of either singer. It was horrible, right down to the copy of Alicia Bridges phrasing for "I Love The Nightlife". Anyway, I'd love to hear any news about Jon Jon if anyone has any.
