trying to remember the name of a movie

Postby helen_back » Tue Mar 13, 2007 3:35 am

it followed a british chick singer in a mid to early 80's band, and her songs were most of the soundtrack to the film. it was very robot, sort of techno stuff, and pretty good. i actually had the soundtrack on tape years ago.

i think the story line followed her as she came up from working class neighborhood and she kind of gets lost as she starts to make it big, and gets into drugs.

the whole message seemed to be very anti establishment... one of hte songs i do remember the title of was 'big brother'.

help! i've googled and searched and wracked my brain but i cant for the life of me remember the name of the movie, or the artist.
