SSQ Remix Contest

Postby LeashDog » Tue Mar 13, 2007 6:24 pm

I have a 12" of Synthicide by SSQ and on one side it has a few mixes but on the other there was a make-your-own-mix contest where they invited DJs to do their own remixes. I did my own from this years ago on reel to reel (yes, I actually blade-edited the hell out of this) but that tape is long gone and the cassette copy has been work out from overplay. So now I'm looking for these very tracks so that I can do the mix again, which should be very easy using the editing software on my computer. Does anyone have these tracks? I'd prefer them in wav but mp3 will be fine. I'll promise to post my mix once it's finished.

<br>Glad you liked it Marie! I need to check back more often, i've been slacking lately. I actually did this about 2 years ago, I did find that 12" at some small shop by accident. I also remember that Stacy Q had a similar contest with one of her own songs as well back then.

Yes, it's an awesome mix. Thanks for sharing. Do you still have the original files? I'd love to recreate the mix I did awhile ago.

I have the Vinyl, I just need to make time to record back into the comp again.

I finally played the remix by DJ Santi... it rocks! I like it better than the original! [:)]

I can dig that. Too many expenses right now to be able to afford a new turntable.
