Colour Code are a wonderful, but little known UK synthpop band who had a very minor hit in 1984 with "Dance To The Times." The song is quintessential 1984 synthy new wave. It should've been on tons of 80's compilations. It would have fit right in. Have a listen...

The single was remixed in different colors, since this was Colour Code, of course. The Green Mix is the 7" version, the Blue Mix is the Extended version, and the Purple Mix is the Club version. The song had a different B-side for the 12" ("No Faith In Promises") and 7" ("Love Immunity") Both are wonderful! Here's "No Faith in Promises" which is a dancy and moody track with an epic chorus that keeps getting bigger.

They took a break from releasing anything until 1987, when they put out their second single, now paired down to a duo of Steve Darragh (Vocals) and Mark Duffy on everything else. They stopped 'color coding' their mixes at this point. It's not a bad single at all. And for 1987, it was relatively brilliant. Maybe that's a stretch. Have a listen to the incredibly catchy extended version of "I've Had Enough" and judge yourself.

Steve Darragh has hinted on his Facebook that there was plenty more recorded Colour Code material. I've never seen it floating around, but if anyone's heard it, please speak up!

Here's the tracklisting
