Hey!

I'm so excited about First Affair, I decided to upload this 12" before I've even completed collecting them. In 1983 they recorded an EP as Inner System, and in 1985 they recorded this fantastic song as First Affair.

From what I understand Dirk Steffens is the lead vocalist, Peter Hoffmann and Danny Antonelli were also in the band. There's a fourth guy, but i don't know his name.

I'm waiting for the 7" version to come from the Netherlands along with their early EP, so that'll probably be a while. When I have everything, I'll make a complete collection. If anyone has the 7" I'd love to hear it! This song is SO GOOD!!

Hahaha, I live in LA and there are a lot of cool used record stores. I troll the dollar bins on the floor for stuff that looks cool that I've never heard of, then i try to research the hell out of em when i get home. I usually fall asleep reading discogs.com on my phone and wake up with a whole bunch of new order email confirmations... It's a hobby!

I'm glad you like First Affair. I love this song, and i've got some related items of theirs coming in the mail. I'm excited!

Haha - cool! Sounds like me about 7 years back. Sadly, marriage/kids has slowed down that hobby of late!

Hi Dominik! Are you sure that First Affair released another single? I can't find it in any way!!

No, not exactly. Dirk Steffens, leader of First Affair had a band called Inner System in 1983. They released a three track EP, and a 7" for "ABC (Electric)" and then "Stay (Don't Hide Away)" was also released as a 7". All in all, it'll be 8 tracks. I have 7 right now, and when the last one arrives (any day now) ill upload the collection.
