SHARE: Manteau - Promises 7" (1984) VHF!!!

So,

in anticipation of receiving this 7" I got a new needle for my turntable. The sound is definitely better, but this record (the only one I could find) isn't in the best condition. Sadly, it's also missing it's picture sleeve. That being said, the music is GREAT and I can confirm that Manteau is VHF (or at least some of them...) The A side "Promises" was written by Bernie Derracott and Brian Renwick. The b-side "Love Let Me Down" was written by Derracott and someone named C Edwards who was not in VHF for the recording of the 1st Impressions LP. Renwick's voice is still very Tony Hadley esque and the tunes are awesome.

Brian Renwick posted on the Systems Of Romance message board re: the 1st Impressions LP, wonder if he's got any unreleased Manteau tracks. These guys are right up my alley.

Manteau - Promises 7"
1. Promises
2. Love Let Me Down
