Sea Of Sin

I recently discovered this band from Germany who released an album "Watch Out" in 1995. Many songs are on youtube and Discogs has information about the release.
I wish somebody could do a re-edit/extended version (no extended version was ever released) of the song "Last Day In Paradise" which I think is the best off the album.Very Depeche Mode, Alphaville, and Camouflage sounding. The album version runs about 4:40 but an extened version about 6-7 minutes would be ideal.

Check out this amazing band.

Glad I'm not the only one who stumbled onto the gem that is 'Last Day In Paradise' although I actually prefer the earlier version they did as 'Covent Garden'. Has a much more Seven Red Seven quality to it.

Wow, I didn't realize Sea of Sin was originally "Covent Garden". Since that CD is long out of print, do you happen to have a copy you'd be able to share, Seona85??? I really like that earlier version of LDIP! [8D]

Thanks

Thanks Aladinsane!! Too cool!

Would love to find that entire album one day...looks like it was only ever released by the artist, not on a major record label. :(

Sea Of Sin biography:First they called themselves "Covent Garden" and released a demo CD of their songs called "For Reasons Of Concience". Sales of this CD were low and then they found out there was another band out there by the same name and therefore had to stop the distribution.
So- they changed their name to "Sea Of Sin" . Then they found a label (Subtronic Records) and re-released their former CD
under the name "Watch Out". This CD is now out of print.
3 years later, 98, they released "Illuminate" - an EP which was helped in production by Heiko Maile of CAMOUFLAGE. Heiko also contributed with vocals and synths. He recognised their talents.

Thanks woodsisi!

I wonder if the versions recorded on "For Reasons of Concience" are exactly the same as the versions on "Watch Out" for most songs?

the Covent Garden songs I have heard are different to the Sea Of Sin versions - I believe 'Watch Out' was re-recorded with Heiko Maile.
