Looking for the releases from this Japanese illusive duo.

Very hard to find any info out there, apart from this:

"...Jullan was a Japanese techno-pop dou formed mainly by the students of Hitotsubashi University. The members are Hiroshi and Atsushi. Ryuichi Sakamoto showed them first in a radio programme. After it they became popular in Japan and one of their song ,"Because Of Love" was used for Kose Cosmetics' Fall '84 campaign. They sent a demo tape to the British "Melody Maker" who extolled them and they even signed a contract in the UK to make their debut record .
Their sound is melodious electro pop. They disbanded after 1985..."

The links for all the albums on the site are a few years old and apparently all dead.

Hopefully someone can dig it out. :D

Hey Xymox970,

I like Jullan ... just so happens I have a lot of stuff by them. Here's a link to all 3 of their albums:
1984 - Electromance
1984 - Imaginary Doll
1985 - Pulse

Plus a 7" remix of the song "Imaginary Doll". I'd say my favorite track is "Time (For People)" from the Pulse album.

They're not my rips, but they are at least 192K MP3s:

Enjoy!!

Thanks from me too as I lost mine in a hard drive crash.

I also had a live show from Jullan. It was an audience recording of about 3 three tracks.

I think my favourite track is River Flowing to Death.

I know that well, but honesty is a virtue in any case :D

Well, some of these (at least the two 1984 ones) were in fact circulating in the net quite some time ago on a blog related to japanese music. No idea whether it still exists. If you come across the original zip archives, you might notice the funny date '1984.00.00'. That's them then. 8)
