Okay, this is really exciting. The unreleased RPM album (produced by TonyMansfield) is now available for purchase. I got mine just a couple of days ago in the mail, and it's WONDERFUL! There's 14 tracks total, the original album plus 3 bonus tracks.

You can order it here: http://rockandbowl.bigcartel.com/product/all-around-the-world-the-mount-pleasant-tapes

For those who don't know the RPM/Search Party legacy, learn more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_Party

The 2 released RPM singles are tough to find (took me forever) but I put a few tracks on Youtube a while ago

RPM - Now That Summer's Here (1981)

RPM - I'm Energy (1981)

One of the tracks on the RPM album is an early version of Urban Foxes, a song the band took with them when they became Search Party. "Urban Foxes" is one of my favorite songs of the 80's, and this early version is just fantastic. Here's the Search Party version

Search Party - Urban Foxes (1982)

Search Party followed up this single with "All Around The World" which is equally great. Here's a performance on Italian television of AATW in 1983 (i think)

Search Party - All Around The World (1983) live on Italian television

The liner notes of the RPM disc hint that there might be a Search Party disc in the works. Hope that's true!!!

Also, Search Party is on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Search-Party/127256610649354

(I'll be cross posting this to the News/Releases/Reissues board as well, since it qualifies, hope that's cool)

I knew the title Search Party - All Around The World rang a bell, but wasnt really sure until it got to the chorus.

Its funny that I still vaguely remember it, although I probably heard it only once or twice before, the last time was probably way back in 1983.

Excellent song.

If anyone can upload the single or 12" version (or both), I would really appreciate it.

Thanks. :)
