Does anyone have a original cdr of fiat lux fac ut vivas they could share in lossless.
Or Any Of The Singles
Ive only been able to find mp3 versions.
I have just made a lossless rip of the Hired History mini Lp and will upload in lossless soon.

I have a CD-R which I kindly got from someone in the U.S. Not sure if it's one of the originals. The main difference that I can hear is that there are lengths of silence at the end of each track compared to the downloads that are out there. Can't hear any evidence of vinyl transfers on it. I will happily copy it and post it if you want.

Does the cd you own have 20 tracks on it starting with feels like winter again and ending with Photography (BBC Live) ,I think it was called the collection.Just been looking thorugh some old cdr's and found a copy... so i may have this after all!

The one I have has 12 tracks starting with the album tracks 'The Moment' and ending with 'Solitary Lovers'. Followed by what I presume could be called extra tracks: 'No More Proud (another dub version)' and 'Aqua Vitae (instrumental)'. Most of the tracks released as singles are presented as slightly different versions which I can guess could be called 'album versions'.
It does say on the inlay that 'Master tapes were provided by David P. Crickmore of the band'. The cover is a composite of the 'Feels Like Winter' single cover. I guess there was never an official cover produced. If there ever was then I suppose it would reflect the style of the later singles.
After being a big fan back in th 80s and seeing them 6 times this was one of the most memorable things I have ever been given. To finally hear it was amazing!

I would like to hear the version you have.Can i PM you? we could do a trade and you could have a listen to the 20 track version i have..

PM me your postal address and I'll post you out a copy. It would be great to hear the quality of your 20 track version although I think I have everything that was released by them in one format or another I have always wanted to hear better versions than I have digitally.

Well, the only good lossless Fiat Lux tracks posted here for upload so far is the laserdisc redbook capture I posted awhile back. Of which, I've recently redone a slightly better digital capture and broken up that capture into individual tracks. Would be nice to get some other lossless material, vinyl? If not, guess I'll have to do it myself.

P.S. MP3's have no place in my collection. I don't have enough time in life to waste listening to crap when there is more than enough quality tracks to listen to.
