Using the full-length tracks from the 1999 CD-Single release of "Tour De France", I re-created these two 7" edits to duplicate the versions found on my USA Warner Brothers 7" single. Neither of these edits has ever been made available on CD.

The times printed on the 7" label state 3:50 for both tracks. However, Side A (French Version) is in fact 3:47 and Side B (Remix) is 3:57. My favorite has always been the "Remix" which was mixed by Francois Kevorkian and Kraftwerk. Kevorkian has always had a knack for creating spacious, atmospheric mixes that allows each instrument room to "breathe".

Enjoy these rare edits, now in full CD quality...

Wow awesome. So many edits and alt language versions unreleased on CD. Much like the 2 new songs from 1997. the 3D blu rays, the promo videos DVD or Blu ray and that elusise 9th album! Saw them in Amsterdam 2 nights running in January (2015) and Vienna 4 times in 30 hours (2014) and 5 times in a week, London (2013) all 3D Catalogue shows. Stunning

I saw them in Detroit in 1998 and am going to see them there again in October for the 3D show. Absolutely stoked! I just watched the BBC "Pop Art" documentary from 2013 on Youtube and one of the guys they interviewed even mentioned the 1998 Detroit show and they showed pictures of the mannequins on display in front of Detroit's State Theater. Cool. I remember the 2 new songs they performed then which have yet to be released officially. They must have started working on new material to see what worked and what didn't, which ultimately led to the new songs on "Tour De France Soundtracks". I recall not being especially impressed with "new" songs at the 1998 show.

I have the 2004 "Minimum Maximum" DVD which I LOVE, but am hoping the new shows make their way to Bluray.

I always loved those songs but don't forget they didn't have a theme to tie them in with TDFS. I know people who claim they were from an album pre-dating TDFS and that the record company wouldn't release said album. Not sure i believe that. There's people again that claim the new album has also been finished for some time and that Ralf being a perfectionist won't release it and an album without Florian and is happy with 'The Catalogue' and it's current worldwide tour
