I'm a big fan of this genre. The Style Council "Our Favorite Shop" is definitely one of my all time favorite Album.

I would add Swing Out Sisters, The Blue Nile, The Blow Monkeys or Hue & Cry as well.

There is also a German band called 'Trio Rio" which is worth checking out.

And recently I'm also into an indie band called "The Bird and the Bee". It's on Spotify.

"Our favourite Shop" is a jazz pop masterpiece :)
The Deluxe edition is full of b-sides, live, alternate and extended versions.
Swing Out Sister, Blue NIle, Blow Monkeys and Hue and Cry are top notch bands.
Trio Rio first album (1986) sounds similar to Fritz Brause (a German version of Matt Bianco); on "Voodoo Nights" (1987) and "Who Dat" (1990) they became a more soft-rock band
All these bands are on all digital platforms for a listening pleasure

PD: The Bird and the Bee sounds nice. it's like a mix of electronica and indie with a retro 60's image.
Are you going to start screwing over Redo like you screwed over MSK with your endless requests? what an idiot you turned out to be MATT

Never knew the third album of Trio Rio 'Who dat Mon' existed until recently. Could not find the digital copy of this album. Only saw them on Youtube.

There is another German Band "HongKong Syndikat" which released an excellent LP "Never Too Much" in the mid 80s which is worth checking out.

BTW, Just saw the Documentary and I absolutely love it. I still have the Laser Disc of The Style Council Live in Japan, but I no longer have a working player for it.
