While cleaning up tags and organizing files, I noticed a couple of flaws in these distributions.

  • Volume 3, Disc 1, Track 2 (the Wet Wet Wet track mentioned earlier) came from another rip, possibly another source. It's not cut on a CD sector boundary, it's mastered differently than the other tracks, and the difference in printed vs. mastered duration is greater than the difference for all the other tracks.
  • Volumes 5 & 7 were pointlessly upsampled to 48 kHz during or after the rip, so they are wasting space. I put mine back to 44.1 kHz using the SoX resampler DSP in foobar2000, with default settings, except Quality: Best. (If you're not sure about resampling, just leave them alone.)

I'll update this post if I find anything else amiss.
