This is in regards to "My Dying Machine (1989 razormaid! promo mix)" that is 7:25 long. This is my favorite version of My Dying Machine by Gary Numan, but I don't know where it came from.

I'm just seeking information about the release this exact version came from. I don't need an audio file because I already have it. All I find on Discogs and some fan sites are alternate remixes. There is another Razormaid mix that is similar that I found years before this version, but a minute and a half shorter. That shorter version is on multiple Razormaid compilations and it cuts part of the intro out and unfortunately the longer intro version is my favorite. There is also an Italian remix that is almost equal in length, but is a completely different remix and was released in 1985.

I originally got this track from the Gary Numan 4Shared group in May 2010 and it was labeled as the "1989 Razormaid! promo mix" in parentheses. That is my source of the track. Any information would be appreciated. Please help because I don't know where else to look.

Probably a fan made remix like the "extended version" of Mariya Takeuchi plastic love that clocks 8 minutes when the original remix clocks almost 5 minutes

The only one I found with that name on Discogs is this one from 1999, which I already have. It features the shorter version of the 1989 Razormaid remix.

Maybe this version is just so obscure that no one added it to Discogs yet.

@AJWAVE, I don't get the impression that it's a fan mix. It sounds like the longer parts were still done by Razormaid. They are only slightly different from the parts in the shorter version.

I have the entire Razormaid library and this one is 7:22, the only one close to the time you listed. The version is listed as the "My Dying Machine - LP Mix" in the library.
