Rupert Hine (Thinkman) - 80's Discography (Lossless)

Postby NuWavo80s » Fri Oct 07, 2022 1:23 am

What has always puzzled me is that Rupert Hine's vocals sound a lot like Cy Curnin (The Fixx) but if you listen to Portiats an earlier version of The Fixx, Cy Curnin's vocal were not so pronounced with the stylist trademark vocals both Rupert Hine and Cy Curnin used in the 80's and beyond. Early Rupert Hine's (1970's) recordings (Prog-rock & Folk Rock) have a bit of that sound, but like Cy Curnin's early vocal style, not so pronounced. Also Rupert Hine's first 80's "solo" ( Immunity) release has that Fixx/Thinkman/Rupert Hine trademark vocal sound which was released in 1981, before The Fixx - Shuttered Room (1982) Produced by Rupert Hine. Every time I would play Thinkman or Rupert Hine's 80's solo stuff, someone would make the comment that it sound's like The Fixx or Cy Curnin. Record Producers often have a big hand in the creation of the band's sound. So who influenced who? (R.I.P. Rupert Hine)
