Welcome To Comboland is a 1986 North Carolina compilation while that scene was blowing up.

A1 The Othermothers– Rodeo
A2 The Connells– Brighter Worlds
A3 Right Profile– Cosmopolitan Lovesick Blues
A4 The Graphic– I Flew Like A Bird
A5 Rod Dash– Jimmy's Out Of Touch
A6 Southern Culture On The Skids– Love In 4D
B1 The Woods – Battleship Chains
B2 Fetchin' Bones– Plus 7
B3 The Spongetones– Torn Apart
B4 The Accelerators– Leave My Heart

B6 Don Dixon– When A Man Loves A Woman

My favorite songs are Right Profile, The Graphic, Rod Dash, and the original version of Georgia Satellites' Battleship Chains.

Here's a longer article about the bands from that area.
