Coconut Rough was a short-lived band from New Zealand in the early 80's.
Andrew Snoid, the lead vocalist, was in several bands including The Plague, The Whizz Kids, Blam Blam Blam, Pop Mechanix, and The Swingers.

Coconut Rough is more mature almost AOR but in a syncopated New Wave style.
Several 80's New Wave bands in Australia have that INXS sound,
but Coconut Rough reminds me of a cross between A Flock Of Seagulls, Sparks, and Split Enz.
