The funny thing of searching for New Wave acts is that you now and then stumble on a band that didn't make the eigthies or changed names in 1980 to take another track.

Over the past few years I collected a bunch of new wave songs all released in 1979. You can hear the rawness, sometimes even without keyboards, that reminds you of the Punk and Power Pop influences that were stil very much around in those days.

As a small side project to The Unknown Beauty Of The 80's, which to be honest accommodated some late seventies tracks over the years as well, I present to you the compilation "A Year Too Early: Never Made It Into The 80's" II with 23 tracks all recorded and released during 1979.

Please note, this in NO way is intended to take away sales from any of the artists included here but rather a way
to discover or rediscover these timeless masterpieces.
Please support these bands if they should have material available! They deserve all the credit! Up for a week.

The tracks:

01 The Vicars - I'm Going Mad (3:12)
02 48 hours - Back To Ireland (3:53)
03 Andy Arthurs & The Rock Along Combo - I Feel Flat (3:21)
04 Moskow - Too Much Commotion (4:28)
05 Joe Public - Hotel Rooms (2:07)
06 Gloria Mundi - Dangerous To Dream (5:22)
07 Dead Fingers Talk - The Boyfriend (3:03)
08 The X-Certs - Blue Movies (3:25)
09 Starjets - Really Doesn't Matter (3:08)
10 The Numbers - Alternative Suicide (2:53)
11 The B-Girls - Fun At The Beach (1:59)
12 Andy Lloyd - Living In America (3:16)
13 The Cheetahs - Radio-Active (3:07)
14 Europeans - On The Continent (3:26)
15 The Girls - Jeffrey I Hear You (5:37)
16 Genocide - Images Of Delusion (4:21)
