"Howl" from "The Howling II: Your Sister Is A Were

Postby Horrorgrrl » Fri Jul 29, 2005 12:50 pm

Hi~

I have been desperately looking for a song from the early 80's horror movie sequel to the "The Howling", called "The Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf". If any of you have seen this, you might know what song I'm talking about. At one point, there is a club scene, and a gothish-new wave band is singing this really cool song. I don't know what the exact title is, but I would guess it is "Howl" - since that word is featured predominantly throughout the song. This is the same song that plays over the closing credits of the film where the infamous shot of Sybil Danning exposing her breasts over and over is. First off, can anyone identify the band who does this song, and does anyone have it in mp3 format who would be willing to share it? I would be eternally grateful - I've been searching for this song for years! Rock on!

Okay, after years of not being able to find ANY information on this song (which included checking the IMDB regularly), I surfed back to the IMDB and lo! found the info I need. Actually, the song is called "Howling", and is performed in the movie by a band called Babel, headed up by a guy named Stephen Parsons. Apparently, the band was formed exclusively for this film only, although this Parsons had some other dealings in music in the 80s (no info was given as to what sort of dealings). This band has been likened to a cross between The Damned and The Cramps - just based on this one song - but I think the song has more of a new wave feel. Anyway, someone on the message boards at the IMDB has graciously offered to share three! different versions of this song from the movie soundtrack. So, when I receive them, if anyone would like copies, I shall send them via e-mail. Rock!

Hey guys~

I have successfully obtained the ultra-rare mp3 of Babel's "Howling" from the "Howling II" soundtrack. If anyone would like a copy of this post-punk/new wave tune - lemme know - I'll be happy to share. Rock!

I will punch my own mother if somebody will send me a copy of Howling by Babel. I will kick a small dog... or... um... what I mean to say is that I would be so very appreciative if one of you lovely new wavers would be kind enough to pass along a copy. Dank yoo beddy mooch.

PS - I was only joking about the dog, but not about my mother, mind you. She's as evil as they come, and she's gonna catch a fist when that file arrives. :p
