SHARE NEW: A Ghost Guide To The 80s Vol. 9

A word of caution before I present this final volume: I didn't have the chance to publish it yesterday because we had a meeting at work that was quite disruptive. As you know, things aren't going so well in the NGO world right now. Although USAID has never made a donation, donations are declining. Because of this, the NGO where I work is in danger of experiencing financial difficulties, and to compensate, they've decided to cut a third of their full-time equivalents. This must be done by December 22nd. So, as you can imagine, I had other things on my mind yesterday, and I still do now, as I have to consider what I'm going to do. They've presented several options, and you have to respond to one of them by December 1st. A second choice will follow on December 9th.

So back to the music.

Original started as one of the volumes for "The Continuous Beauty Of The Unknown 80s" series, the list of tracks grew and grew when digging the 1980s "Ghost" songs on Discogs. I was surprised by the amount of tracks written in the eighties with "Ghost" in the title.

So in the end, when found half of the search list, I already went over the 10 single discs. So I played with the idea to present it as 10 separate volumes in the series. But this changed rapidly when the amount grew to 11 single discs not including the songs, already presented in "The Unknown Beauty Of The 80s" series, which I wanted to present as a bonus disc.

So after a lot of thoughts I decided to bring this list of tracks as a separate series named "A Ghost Guide To The 80s".
This created the opportunity to go for the well-known names as well.

With a total of 299 tracks, this is by far the biggest project ever undertaken. And still 53 tracks are not counted for.

Meanwhile the result has grown to 9 volumes, 8 double discs and one single disc with the bonus material, which were be presented in the past months.

So here is Volume 9 the final Bonus disc filled with tracks already featured in The Unknown Beauty Of The 80s series.

I will keep searching, so in the future an extra disc might pop up.
