Does anyone have any songs from Dementia Precox?
I have a single with "Mines" and on the other side is "Dead on 2 Legs Luncheonette.

I have their SCHP EP, with their minor underground hit Madelie D'Esprit. It's less punk than the Mines 7" , more synth/postpunk. I can send the songs to you when I get home this evening.

The Units first LP from the early 80s is pretty damned good synth punk. Their later releases aren't quite as good, but still worth looking into. I've also heard that Nervous gender is worth a listen, but I can't seem to find any of their stuff. Haven't heard Dementia Precox either, but they sound up my alley.

I also have the Nervous Gender/Beelzebub Youth LP (they're the same band, just with different styles). I believe that the album is going to be reissued. You may want to contact their old label at www.subterranean.org or visit their website at http://www.theoretical.com/nervoushome.html for more info.

Other good synthpunk bands:
The Norvells
Los Microwaves
The Cardboards (visit their website at http://www.angelfire.com/indie/cardboards/index.html and download their songs, rather than spend $500+ for the EP on eBay...)
Marilyn and the Movie Stars

A couple newer(ish) synthpunk bands:
The Epoxies (www.theepoxies.com)
Lost Sounds (www.lostsounds.net - one of my top 5 or so bands, but sadly they just broke up)

Ummmm.... Suicide should be mentioned here, the granddaddies of synthpunk, going on 30+ years.

Synthpunk is a genre that I'm just getting into. For years I thought the only bands were Suicide and The Screamers. Keep sending the links, I'm really enjoying all this stuff.

PS - the Cardboards songs are only 1 minutes samples. Anyone have the entire thing?
