Blancmange - four ext versions

First you have to hear my story (which pertains to these two mixes [:)]):

I wasn't too familiar with Blancmange ... only having That's Love LP mix on a label compilation. My friend taped the remix from a radio station and I thought it was just an amazing mix. So a couple of years later when I saw the UK12" at a used record shop, I quickly bought it. When I got home and plopped it on, I was like, "WTF? This doesn't sound as good as I remembered it."

A few years later, I saw the US12" and again had high hopes. This time, when I played it, it put a smile on my face. This was the mix! So without further adieu ...

<a href="http://s13.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=38NE5JLMKSQ0D1S26MRIBW38SS" target=_blank>That's Love, That It Is (re-mix)</a> [UK version]
from CD - EAC/LAME 3.97b1

<a href="https://s51.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3VEY5UD2H4MIF0Z1ZZ5URWCMPE" target_blank>That's Love, That It Is (extended remix version)</a> [US version ... from vinyl]

I suggest you start with the UK12" as after hearing the US one, you won't want to hear the UK mix.

And as a bonus, from the Fortran 5 thread, I upped a track by them that features Neil Arthur doing vocals:

And here's two more from CD! EAC/LAME 3.97b1 -V2 --vbr-new
<a href="http://s14.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0UU2XYQUGCB943F6ORIM3DP4ZC" target=_blank>Blind Vision (extended version)</a>

yes some of their remixes are quite diverse in sound. The day before you came 12" vs. original is quite different as well. Thanks for the fortran 5. my copy was pretty crappy. now if you have a higher bit rate of irene and mavis...

Okay, I am retarded. The US version is on the Canadian release of "Second Helpings" along with two other extended versions. Supposedly it is only on the Canadian release and not on any others. CD rips will be coming soon! (* Yes, I have too many CDs and not the time to listen to them all enough times to actually know what I have! *)

now if you have a higher bit rate of irene and mavis...

Don't know this track.

I think mine is like 96 kbp, pretty bad, but it's the best I can find on the net.

Okay, crap ... they are both the UK re-mix. I should have listened more carefully.

Does anyone leech the US vinyl rip I posted earlier? I deleted mine (oops) and the YouSendIt URL email I deleted just yesterday (grrr...).

Luckily I grabbed it, so no need to re-rip :

Thanks (link at the top is fixed also). Recording vinyl is time consuming.

Okay, so, I missed this thread earlier, and all d/l links are now dead. Does anybody have this and can re-up it? Perhaps to www.rapidshare.de?? P-p-p-p-p-pretty-please?

I'm a big fan of Blancmange and was wondering if anyone has an MP3 of the UK 'clanky' version of 'Don't Tell Me' (i.e. not the one on Retro Active). I would greatly appreciate it and it would be an awesome start to the new year.
