Go ahead and laugh at my monkey-@$$, but I'm looking for a copy of Don Johnson's "Looking for a Hearbeat" song. I used to have it on cassette and would play it full blast anytime one of my customers in my store would wear out their welcome. I experimented with Tom Jones "What's New Pussycat" and Motorhead's "Ace of Spades"(great song, but comic geeks usually hated it) but nothing worked better to drive off loiterers than 'ol Don. Now that I think of it, ANY so terrible yet it's still terrible tracks would be welcomed (like any of the Village People's music when they went new wave, or Mr. T's song about his mother[xx(]).

That was quick! BTW, I don't like this song for it's musical quality, but for the reaction it gets from people. If I really did like it, I'd be man enough to admit it.

Hehe, I don't understand why people dislike this one so much,
it's a nice and catchy pop song [8D]. but hey that's me, I like a lot of music people consider being crap.

I am guilty of this as well. I actually liked Xanadu. Jeezus, I shouldn't admit that.

Ha! My wife and daughters and I had a Xanadu afternoon just a couple of weeks ago.

I admit, the film is hard to watch all the way through, but still it was a fun flashback (and my daughters really loved it!)

I absolutely love that ELO song "I'm Alive" from the sdtrk.

That song has been elusive for me to find. I've had several ELO collections (no luck) and I don't see the point of buying the Xanadu sdtk for just 1 song. Can anyone help?

Here I go again...looking for "Makin' It" by that Dr. Pepper guy who was also a werewolf. Also "Born to be alive" by Patrick Somethingornother. Jeezus, what is wrong with me??? Before I forget, thanks Terim!

LOL! I used to do the same thing to drive off loiterers only instead of cheesy pop songs I would throw on "Kerosene" by Big Black. Worked like a charm.

No Trend was always great for getting on people's nerves. Killdozer too. I used to work a few nights a week in a record store & had to keep something on hand to drive the annoying customers out. Seems like people in my local circuit city have the same idea. Whenever I'm in there, I have to leave the music section pretty quickly, there's always some godawful shit playing super loud. That's where I had my first experiences with the Spice Girls, O-Town & Sean Paul. I try to stay out of there these days.

YES! Killdozer. Their cover of Sweet Home Alabama would get rid of some people in a hurry. I can guarantee it.

In the City was on The Long Run album.
