Does anyone have any songs by this group that they would be willing to post? I don't know too much about them, other than that they covered "Video Killed The Radio Star". Thanks in advance!

Then you know nothing about them since they did not cover "Video Killed the Radio Star" but wrote it and released it first. The Buggles did the covering. Also Thomas Dolby played on the album.

Ever seen a copy of their Lp that wasn't a promo? I have had about 4 copies of this over the last 25 years and every one has been a white label promo.

I would love to hear their version of Video Killed the Radio Star.

Wow! I guess I really don't know anything about them! Now I really want to hear their version of "VIdeo Killed The Radio Star"! Thanks for "English Garden".

Actually I made a mistake and don't really know what I'm talking about either. Trevor Horn from the Buggles co-wrote "Video Killed..." so therefore the song was not covered by either band since a member from both of the bands wrote it.

Both of my U.S. albums are dated 1979. Does anybody know who officially released it first?

I highly recommend Bruce Woolley's turn as Firmament and the Elements, I can post one of the tunes. Really bizarre, catchy, synth weirdness.

Early Buggles associate Bruce Woolley co-wrote several of the band's songs, including "Video Killed the Radio Star" and "Clean Clean." Woolley's own versions of both tunes — predating the Buggles' "Radio Star" hit (which scraped the US Top 40 in December '79) — are contained on English Garden (retitled for American release), an LP of light power pop reminiscent of certain sides of the Move. As a would-be radio star, Woolley was doomed in the '70s by his devotion to the '60s, and the record vanished in the techno-pop flood. The Camera Club, however, can claim fame of a sort for Thomas Dolby's pre-fame membership.

In the '80s, Woolley abandoned the past and discovered the future. Along with his brother Guy, he formed a semi-experimental oddity, Firmament and the Elements. The intriguing EP contains nice tunes as well as bizarre effects.

They didn't actually cover the song. They recorded it first. Since it was written between Woolley, Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes, The Buggles did their own version, which was the one which became the bigger hit

Does anybody have the Bruce Woolley 7" single for Bobby Bad. I believe it's a solo single he did without The Camera Club.

Does anyone have the original versions of Goodbye To Yesterday and Video Killed... The CD versions are inferior! [V] And any of the subsequent singles... particularly House Of Wax!
