Could it be, that this was played with 45rpm instead of 33rpm????
Sounds extremely unnatural and "smurfy" to me...

The album isn't bad, if you can find it, but this is far away the best track on it.

I didn't care for the other single (which you can hear here -- http://80music.about.com/library/artist ... 043099.htm ), but the two videos were extremely well-crafted and got a lot of airplay on MTV in late '84 and early '85.
