If anyone has any songs of side-projects of Classix Nouveaux (beside Sal Solo). I heard of existence of 2 bands- “MAO” of Mik Sweeney ( Bass)and also “Dean and Airport”. Any mp3’s or information? Thanks in advance.

Dear Depewaver,
Looked an E-bay and Gemm with no luck for this single or other titles. On Gemm there are a few titles by MAO, but it appears to be totally different band…
Please post if possible MAO tracks here. I am sure it's very rare. Thanks in advance.

The MAO track is on a compilation LP called Terpsichore.

Classix (a different version of Robots Dance), Thomas Dolby (Urges), Sandii, Gina X, and others are on it too - good compilation of mostly rare synthpop.

There's lots of stuff by Jak Airport and BP Hurding prior to their Classix Nouveaux days...X Ray Spex. I guess everybody knew that though.

We didn't sell a lot of records, but somehow we left an impression.

I have mp3s of the 7" single "Celebration" b/w "Imagination Crimes" (Polydor UK, 1982), by (Jak) Airport & (Paul) Dean. Celebration is a decent song, I can share them if anyone is interested. I don't know whether A&D released any other singles.

Dear Brambo,
- Would love to hear both above mentioned A & D songs in digital format. I am also unaware of any other A& D releases.
- Any info is MAO had other songs/releases besides "Friends for a day"?

Seems there is another A&D record: Lost in Space. Maybe somebody has this?
