Okay, on the Internet it only takes a few minutes to find a total discography of your favorite band, most of the time.

But finding out information on officially released music videos by said bands seems to be, well, difficult.

I know of NWoutpost's database of videos, but what about more? I found a lead on a guy willing to sell me a DVD copy of Josie Cottons' "Jimmy loves marianne", which I gotta get around to dong sometime.

But I'm wondering if there's a bigger database, maybe even with some screencaps for the curious. VH1 Classic sometimes throws me a bone, showing me videos I never even knew existed. Some even ones I couldn't even conceptualize a music video to.

As for buying videos from official channels, it seems difficult. VH1 or MTV to my knowledge doesn't have a databse of all their videos in existence(but man would that be cool to search through).

P2p networks usually have only the upper-crust of mainstream music videos we've seen hundreds of times. My only luck out was finding Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights" and a few Missing Persons videos.

So, are there any great oracles in cyberspace that would hold the answers to my music video curiousities?

The Music Video Database (http://www.mvdbase.com) is a great place to start. It doesn't have a lot of visual flair, but it's a tremendous resource nonetheless.
