Tom Snyder had a late night television talk show in the 1970s and 80s, and often had musical guests. So he was on the scene , at the time. This collection looks like it could be amazing.

You have to admit it is strange. A square like Tom Snyder having punk acts on his show. Would that not be unlike gangsta rap acts on Lawrence Welk?

And a mutherfuckin' one, and a motherfuckin' two...

I can recall seeing the Plasmatics on there, as well as a few others. This should be fantastic!

The Plasmatics footage is awesome. Its fun to see the guitarist run around the audience & proceed to fall on an old couple.I bet they didn't expect that when they bought tickets[:D].Wendy talks about the time she got beaten up by the police.Pretty sad..RIP, Wendy.

Yup. I think her death was the perhaps the third most exciting to ever happen in Storrs Connecticut. Of course 1 and 2 were the Mens and Womens UConn basketball teams winning the NCAA title simultaneously...making Connecticut the undisputed king of college basketball! (NC my ass!) Then 3 happened a few years back with her tragic suicide.

This will be a real dream come true... I can't wait to see this DVD!
I remember waiting anxiously to see the appearances by Adam & the Ants and U2.

Tom Synder was da man, long before Conan. I can't remember seeing the Sex Pistols... gues they didn't have a "Bill Grundy" moment [:0]

I vaguely remember Tom telling we (the audience) to fire up the colortini at the beginning of his broadcast. I watched him more in the nineties. I think it was just called Late Night With Tom Snyder? The price is definitely right for a 3 disc set, especially with all the music celebrities it has. I'll be buying it.

Around that time, I was always wearing a Plasmatics tshirt with a picture of a black eyed Wendy that said "wendy Will Win" with a burning cop car on the back. Just recently going through one of my mother's photo albums, I found a pic of me wearing it. I was also sporting these ridiculously huge glasses & had the beginnings of a mullet. No wonder I couldn't get laid.

Just four more days now until the release of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BTD91W/qid=1137760665/sr=1-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-8842561-3170428?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=130">The Tomorrow Show: Punk & New Wave</a>. I think this is going to be a classic! [:p][:p][:p]

If the Ideal Copy has it in stock, I'd gladly redirect the link to them.

I just got this, & I have a few issues with it.It's actually 8 episodes in their entirety. So along with the music groups , you get some interviews with people who got nothing to do with Punk or New Wave at the time. They should have just edited this to show just the music, thereby they could have added more of the music footage of bands like Split Enz,The Clash,Adam & the Ants, & the Plasmatcs second appearnce.Still worth it alone for the John Lydon interview.Talk about being diffucult!Check out the disgust in both their faces when they were talking to each other, priceless!
