You wont find many around because there are only 2 in existance, and I have the other one. I made this DVD. This is volume 1 of 3 that I made of early new wave videos rarely shown. Notice Neeva's Blue Star that I have pushing to everyone on the HUB for the past year. I am very disappointed to see that it is being sold on Ebay. I will tell you Schwenko that the quality is really good, so you will enjoy it.

Then she becomes a gypsy. Then some masked man challenges the Nazi to a fencing duel. The Nazi loses, and the masked man is... Lene. Then she leaves. Damn thing gave me, only me, nightmares when I was yay high. Shot on film. Late '82/early '83.

The band are performing at some swanky ball filled with lots of hot chicks. Turns out they're thieves, and they steal all the babes' jewelry. Then they try to make their getaway but end up driving their car right off the edge of a cliff. Or maybe someone else did. I just remember there was a car crash at the end, with some group of folks looking down over the edge and laughing that a car full of people plummeted to their deaths. Touching. Shot on film. Summer of '85.

The video was patterned after the album art on Digney's self-released '83 EP -- a girl's hand by an outdoor pool. That's all I remember. Huge hit in Boston, though, and notorious winner of the first MTV Basement Tapes competition. The thing got loads of airplay on V-66, too. Unfortunately for Digney, his two EPs had quite a few songs that were better.

The LadyPank video was actually shot in Battery Park City, where the World Financial Center is now. When the World Trade Center was built the excavated dirt/sand was dumped into the adjacent Hudson River to form landfill.

Wow, I have barely heard of any of these bands. EBN-OZN's "Aeiou" video is pretty fun though. Have that one.

Gyllene Tider is actually Roxette before the blonde female singer joined the band. The video is actually mischryoned as Roxette.
British, the EBN-OZN video is not AEIOU, but the rarer Bag Lady.
SomebodySomewhere, very impressive memory. Schwenko, behind the Ebay name, are you even aware of which NWO member is the one who sold it to you? Hell, I would sell them for $25 a pop too, and I have the original. Unbelievable.

From the mailer I know their last name. Other than that I have no clue.

I have sent him an email asking him to at least explain to me his position. By the way, this NWO member also just stiffed me on a 2nd trade. I sent 3 more DVDs and got nothing in return. I am not sure what I did to deserve this, but I never thought that someone that we all know on this board would do this to me. I had NEVER ever traded any of my video collection with anyone before, and this was a rather unpleasant experience. If I don't get a response soon, I will let everyone know who you may not want to trade with in the future.

Oops. The couch potato Platinum Blonde video was "Doesn't Really Matter." And the TV doesn't explode, the room does. And then the couch potato disappears.

"Standing in the Dark" had an army of bald-headed freaks. Which, I guess, would make a nice companion piece to "Praying to the Beat."

"Lola" is a teacher at an elementary school. Ebn and Ozn hang out on a park bench in the city. Ozn does his spoken-word rap bits against a dark background. Everyone has big hair. Shot on film. Fall/Winter '83.

Their videos were a lot of fun ("Bag Lady" was the better of the two). Hope someday the album comes out on CD with both tacked on as bonuses.

If you watch the video one of the World Trade Center towers (RIP) can be seen quite frequently as well as the World Financial Center under construction.

Of course I've never seen the video until 2 days ago, and it may have been quite a while since you last saw it.

I don't even know how long it's been since I last saw it, but I know I taped it when it was first released. I always taped the war-themed videos. Just don't know where it is.

Unless it was shown in the MTV-2 "every video we've got" (excepting the thousands of ones we lost, destroyed or had to drop to make up for time because our clueless VJs couldn't read the cue cards properly) marathon, in which case I'd probably have a duplicate amongst the "M" tapes.

Actually MTV2 seems to be the source of these videos since they all have the watermark.

Oh, yeah? Cool -- I'm going to have to check that out tomorrow. I recorded pretty much the entire thing, but I was working three jobs at the time and never really got a chance to watch very much of it. And, you know, even though we're 5 years on, I've never quite found the time to make through all 4 months worth of videos. Half the time I tried to fast-forward to my favorites to find out they weren't even shown.

And then there were some, like the Neeva video and the other Trees one, that were shown and that I had never seen before. So I guess it evened out.
