Thank you for your response but NO.... the videos are specially encoded & are being streamed from a dedicated hard drive that youtube.com has set up. Anyone else have any ideas on how to capture a streaming video & then save it to your hard drive?

Not sure then, but I'm sure there's software out there for it.

Here’s how to save Youtube.com videos to your hard drive.

1. Find the “video ID” of the clip. You can get this from the video’s URL.
2. Type in “http://youtube.com/get_video.php?video_id=XXXXXX” except replace XXXXX with the video ID.

Here’s an example: (Aztec Camera "Oblivious")

3. You will be prompted to save the file to your hard drive. After saving it, change the extension of the file to “.flv”

4. You need the flash player to play the file that you just saved. Get one here: http://www.rocklists.com/flv.zip
