Does anyone happen to have this video handy? I've never seen it before and for some reason I really really want to all of a sudden. What do you guys think about Orgone and all that crap anyway? Was Wilhelm Reich nuts or a genius? I dunno.... eh?

It's a pretty decent video IMO. Given the flashy hyper paced music video production values in vogue at the time (1985) it was pretty no frills, yet it captured the cautious yet hopeful spirit of the <a href="http://www.purelyrics.com/index.php?lyrics=zfrtnvav" target="blank">song</a>, which BTW, was never given any airplay here in the local NY area radio market as far as I can recall.

I only caught a glimpse of it once on MTV back in the day, thanx for the link PhilG.[;)]

Kate had another darker yet similarly fringe science themed track 'Experiment IV'.

I'm particularly fond of her lyrical stylings from that period.

Interestingly enough, I've posted about CB & WR a number of times here on various threads yet never got any substantive feedback.[|)] Oh well..

You're right. It's a pretty good video. However, after I'd read the Reich website and all the background information about what Kate meant by Cloudbusting, the song had a completely different feel for me, and the video made much more sense. I think Reich was a genius, and his son was/is (is he still alive?) very courageous. I'm quite glad that Kate made his memoirs into song and, thus, into video. Also my favorite era from Kate Bush.

Last I checked Peter Reich is still alive, in fact he loves the song and has become friends with Kate Bush. He even re-released his autobiography (which inspired the song) with a clip from the video as it's cover some years ago.

I've been estranged from this board for a while and this is proof of that. I can talk about Kate Bush until the cows come home! I know everything about her except what she's like in bed and how many hairs she has in her left nostril. I wrote for a fanzine of her's in the 80's and am very active on one of her message boards. The Kinks? (my favorite band!) The B-52's? The Cure? We have a lot of the same cds methinks 2NU! Any Kate Bush questions just email me. In fact you should join The Sensual World of Kate Bush forum! Tell them Sheila sent you---I bet you'd like it. I don't know the link as it is in my favorites but if you Yahoo or Google "The Sensual world of Kate Bush--home" it will get you right there.

anyone know a good way to "theef" as I like to call it... videos from youtube? some kind of ... streaming... collector... thing? hahaha. I mean there's camtasia and I could like record from the screen and record from the "what U hear" thing so that it records output too instead of the mic... but is there an easier way? .... eh eh eh?

There's a step by step guide in the "You Tube" thread. I was able to successfully download David Sylvian's "Pulling Punches". I didn't try watching it with the Flash player, but the files are pretty useless otherwise. Most of them are around 10 megs, so you know the quality isn't very good.

You can probably get most of what you're looking for on the hub. If there's anything in particular you're looking for, let me know and I'll try to hunt it down for you.
