I guess Stefan Vienna isn't still posting here, huh?

My record's missing the innersleeve (if the lyrics were even on one -- if it even had one), but I think I got them right. Maybe a word or two is mondegreened, if someone else wants to look.

SHE WENT POP
(Rothschild/Vienna)

Hot night, moon's bright
Searchlights burning white
Hot night, moon's bright
Searchlights burning white

Eyewitness news 11 o'clock
Reports a body lying down by the dock
Police investigators say the death was self-inflicted
She's been identified as Rena DeVere
The superstar who blew her brilliant career
On drugs and alcohol - it said that she had been addicted

She went pop - she clawed to the top
She went pop - unable to stop
She went pop - and finally dropped
She went

When reached for comment, Rena's agent denied
Reports of overdose or suicide
Instead he hinted that the star had been corrupted when she left New York for good
Got to California buried alive
Met the people with the money and drive
She was launched like a dream, got caught in the stream, was bought by Hollywood

Then she slept around
Then she took the town
Found a world of pleasure
Rena thought she knew the way
But along the way
She didn't look out for the pressure
You got to look out

Eyewitness news 11:15
We've got a live report direct from the scene
Zoom in - a waterfront reporter with an update standing by
A close-up shows her body wrapped in a sheet
Quick reaction shot, the man in the street
There were tears in his eyes full of shock and surprise - can someone tell him why

She went pop - she clawed to the top
She went pop - unable to stop
She went pop - and finally dropped
She went pop - and finally she went

The inner-sleeve does have the lyrics on it, and your's are really close, but not quite the same, I've reposted it below:

Spectre, thanks so much for the corrections! I edited my post to fix the one line I really mangled. (Like anyone could have made heads or tails of that by ear.) Apologies to anyone who read that.

But they did alter the words in the bridge a little from how they were printed. No way is she singing "account."

Now... just need to find a new copy with an innersleeve.

What's funny is that I assure you I've copied the innersleeve exactly, but it certainly does sound like "Look Out" instead of "account" and whats more, the line following: "Ya gotta account for the pressure" the "for the pressure" part is simply not sung at all, but it's on the sleeve. How odd.
