Name of song and band:

This one's been bugging me for a while now. I remember a tune that used to get airplay on the radio back in the early or mid 80s that had a chorus of "I'm a lonesome cowboy, yippee yi yay, yippee yi yay, yippee yi yay."

Of course, it wasn't country in the least. Your standard 80s synth pop. I have no idea who recorded it or what it was called though. Every earch I've tried to do just brings back "I Wanna be a Cowboy" by Boys Don't Cry.

Any clues?
