I don't know the lyrics to the song, so I'm going to provide as much information as I can. I remember hearing the song in 1984, maybe 85. It was a techno type song. The vocals were sung (or at least the chorus) by a male and female (English accent) who kept saying "hello" back and forth. Sometimes the vocals would skip..."ha ha ha ha hello, HELLO, hello, HELLO. The only other words I MIGHT recongnize is "on the phone". Not much to go by,but you guys are Good!

That would be "Telefon" (or "Telephone" for English-speaking areas) by Swedish group known as Style. I think I have it around here somewhere if you'd like it.

I can't believe I had forgotten all about this. KROQ totally overplayed and killed this song for me, but in retrospect, what classic, simple and memorable synth lines. Anyone have the english version they can link. Here's a high-quality swedish version - not sure if it's the extended or regular...

[:D] Damn foreigners, hey ?
Unfortunately my old computer won't pull it off to listen.
But here is a great identifying squad working along.

And YES, I'm still playing EVERYTHING from Tones on Tail to the bone. Thanks to the identifyers here...! Million thanks again.

PS. BTW I have a new question 'to identify' coming up soon !
