Hello all - new to this forum...

I'm hoping you can help me. I have a tape circa 1989 - the Post Modern Age - with various songs played on WFIT/Melborne (FL) one summer day.

After The Smiths, after Dramarama, is a song where that goes like this:

Broken hearts and broken glass
with the cranes and cadillacs
it all begins, it always ends with the crack in the sidewalk.

The captain on the sinking ship,
the general with his horsewhip,
it all comes back to the crack in the sidewalk...

Any ideas?

FOUND IT!!!!

The song is "Crack in the Sidewalk" circa 1987 from House of Freaks off of the Monkey on a Chain Gang album recently reissued by Rhino. http://www.rhinohandmade.com/browse/Pro ... umber=7857 (you'll need Quicktime to play)

Oh wow I remember these guys. Blew me away live at the cool old ballroom across from Macarthur Park in LA (where Sailor Ripley killed some guy on the stairs in the movie Wild at Heart). Love that song Lonsome Graveyard.
