Making me NUTS!
This song is more power pop than new wave, but maybe someone out there has a clue.
I heard this on KROQ a bunch of times in early '87 - it's on an old cassette of stuff I taped off the station. It's a guy's voice and the main chorus goes:
I'll do, do whatever it takes
Break down any walls in my way
That stand between me and you
I'll do whatever it takes
To get you back.
I did an allmusic search on the possible titles ("Whatever it Takes"?) and came up with nothing. It might have been someone local?
I have at least 15 hours of KROQ on cassette and this is the only song I can't figure out. It's killing me! Can anyone out there help?
Thanks!
